Then I waited for a discount and bought myself special headphones for sleeping, the SoundCore Sleep A30, for the night. Unlike the previous ones (A20), they have an optional active noise cancellation (ANC). But it turned out that they are really made for sleeping (who would have thought!).
The Sleep A30 have a number of advantages over the previously reviewed alternatives:
[spoiler]
- They are small. You can sleep on your side, although not all night (maybe it's individual, but if you sleep on your side, they press on a certain part of your ear).
- They work like earplugs; that is, even without ANC, they muffle the sound. They come with a set of silicone tips and a set of memory foam tips - the foam from which earplugs are made.
- The ANC is turned on/off by double-tapping the case (in the Sport X20, there is no touch control, but only a physical button). You can switch at night.
- These are headphones for sleeping (did I already mention this?). They have built-in sleep tracking. Why is this important - in addition to the ability to track sleep (which my watch, phone, and Philips alarm clock can also do), the headphones can turn off when you fall asleep. That is, they stop playing music. This is very important because they don't wake you up with this music later. I can turn on a 6-hour track (I have a subscription to a channel with such tracks on YouTube), and it won't play for half the night and won't drain the battery.
- Oddly enough, two beans (earphones no bigger than a standard bean) are easier to put in a container after falling asleep than the same Sport X20. But it is not really necessary - you can leave them all night, they do not interfere.
- Charging the headphones (mainly the container itself) is much easier than the headphones in the headband, which I described earlier.
- If you need an alarm clock so that it does not wake up people around, then such headphones are a good option. A vibrating alarm clock in a watch is also suitable, but it can also scare you out of habit, and the sound in the headphones is not.
- In these headphones, and even with a 3D eye mask (I have a few of these), your sleep in the morning is very deep. You can even sleep through.
